Since the last contest was international, this one is for US members only. It is for Luis Sepulveda's award winning title The Shadow of What We Were
, from Europa Editions (somehow they sent me two!). It won the 2009 Premio Primavera for Spanish Literature award. This translation has a gorgeous cover and is from one of Chile's most noted authors.

Thanks to Europa Editions for the copy. My review for it is upcoming.
This sounds like such a good book! I'm fond of Sepulveda, and Chilean literature in general. I've also heard good things about the translation that Europa puts out. I'm going to have to get in touch with them.ReplyDelete

Nice one! I read a collection of short stories by Sepulveda years ago, and there are a couple that are still very present in my mind. Would love to read this last book. Chile is also close to my heart.ReplyDelete
